Approach to teaching of digital electronics and microprocessors is discussed. Main topics of the course, requirements to its content are described. Briefly discussed modern tendencies in the development, which are to be included into the educational process. The report is intended for experts in digital electronics and software engineering, who are interested in collaboration in the area of educating qualified personnel. Discussion could be useful for experts, working in education, remarks and proposals of industrial experts could motivate better adaptation of the educational programs for the industrial conditions.
