Universities are doing a pretty good job in basic training of IT specialists. However, no matter how strong the wish is, a university can’t catch up with the latest trend in fast changing technologies as successfully as IT companies do. This is why companies are often dissatisfied with the IT graduates’ level of knowledge. In this report I am going to tell you about the way we solved this problem in Ulyanovsk: we filled that gap between a freshly graduated IT specialist and requirements of his first job by organizing different events and projects: our own corporate ones or in cooperation with universities. We have solved the HR problem and are ready to share our experience.
